Governors Landing is a great place to stop for the day and swim but there is also a campground. This campsite consists of 15 sites suitable for tents or RVs less than 28 feet. There are no hookups but Governors Landing is one of the state campgrounds on Lake Amistad but it is the only campground in the park with potable water available.

Each site costs $8/night and all sites first-come, first-served. Amenities include vault toilets, water, tables, shelters, grills. This campground is one of the most popular campgrounds and fills up quickly on weekends. Several of the campsites have pathways to nice swimming areas. Pets are allowed but need to be kept on a leash.

Governors Landing also has a large car/RV parking area for those just visiting for the day. There are also picnic areas for day use as well.
